There seems to be a growing trend of people that do want to explore the option of trying to sell by them selves and I think hearing from someone like us does help to steer them in that direction.
At the end of the day for us we calculated we saved 14000 dollars from selling on our own, i personally found it interesting to really see what happens "behinds the scenes" and getting to book what times and days we want to show our house. It was EXTREMELY nerve racking but we do feel a sense of accomplishment at the end.
I hope the feed back helps, but I also wanted to let you know we are very happy and thankfull that we got so much advise from you. I don't think we would of been able to walk away with the sale if it wasn't for you!
You really know your stuff and are very good at putting everything into words!

Thank you Maricon for your coaching from our first meeting and throughout the entire selling process. We were able to get the price we wanted and still had commission savings to pass to our buyer. It was a win-win for both parties.
We did our open houses every weekend. We had busy days when multiple 'interested' parties visited... but there were also slow days that can feel a bit deflating. Our strategy was to express the features in our home that made it desirable for us and how it would be relevant our buyer. We always felt we continually built up the number of 'serious' potential buyers, and that it was only a matter of time before we received the right offer. Eventually we did!

Our experience with listing our home with Property Guys couldn't have been better. A friend had listed their home with Property Guys so we decided to check it out. We first reviewed the website and thought it looked pretty interesting, it was pretty new in Yellowknife but we thought we could cut out realtor fees and why couldn't we do it ourselves! We contacted Ryan and I have to say the service he provided was fantastic. The pictures he took and virtual tour we went with were wonderful and really showcased our home. The signage to our place also was helpful and may have sold our house right off. As Ryan was putting up the sign in front of our home a couple saw him and asked to come in to view. We had an offer the first day from them, along with a huge number of hits and other viewing we did sell to the original viewers. We were happy with the price we received and Property Guys (Ryan) was available to offer any guidance to what we needed to do to complete the sale.
