The electrical system is fully off-grid with 4 kW solar panels and two 400W wind turbines. There is a 15kW propane back-up generator and a 1500 ampere-hour battery bank. The system is fully automatic and requires only periodic refilling of the water in the batteries.
Traverse Lake nearby is ideal for bass fishing and boating.
