Welcome to Malagash Road. This is the civic address but some call it Uplands Island. It is 5 acres in total and 2 of them are for sale. Potential buyers will be interested to know that the right of way is deeded to this property. Persons other than the owner would require permission to access.

Earlier mentioned, the camp faces Malagash Basin and McNabes Island. Area residents will recognize the name Dewar Brook. It runs along the right hand side. This allows you to launch a boat and gain access to the channel leading out to sea.

Deer hunting and fishing is excellent. In late September, Canada Geese will begin to land and then in a timely fashion, leave; only to see another flock move in right behind it. The air traffic control is quite a spectacle! Ducks are just as plentiful. A family of Bald Eagles calls this home as well.

The area is a massive clam bed. Off shore is a leased harvest area but within 50 ft. of shore you can fill your boots as they say. Oysters and mussels are plentiful as well.

Youll want to know that the property is accessible all year round. In the winter, you can drive onto the ice. Regardless of the time of year, if there is any amount of noise, youre making it. Some times youll see the odd Sail Boat or the clam harvester but thats it. The water can get choppy out in the channel but in shore, it stays calm. Flat is the word.

The camp is only 5 years old and is in excellent condition. It will be immediately obvious to you that Bill has spared no expense to ensure comfort and safety.

This structure is well insulated and is very easy to keep warm. It has a steel roof plus good doors and windows. The kitchen and bedroom windows plus the small window on the back crank open to create a nice cross breeze. The floor and wall surrounding the wood space heater have been protected with ceramic tile and the chimney is state of the art, stainless.

The earlier mentioned Honda Generator is super quiet. Power transferred to the camp is all underground.

Bill has not yet drilled a well but he assures it is possible to do so. Certainly, water can be brought in and the bathroom facility is comfortable and accommodating.:)

Worth repeating, everything in and around this property stays.

Your 1.3 km driveway aside, Malagash is just 10 minutes from neighbouring Wallace and Tatamagouche.
Little more than a two hour drive will access this area from the Halifax or Moncton International Airport. When you need it, you can get to everything but when you want to be alone in the world, Uplands Island gives you this too.
